It was just sick what he was able to do. Favreinspired teammates to practice better, and practices were sluggish when an injured Favre couldnt take the field. But he famously never missed a game in more than18 years. What I did learn from him was how hard you play the game, said Brunell, who left Green Bay after two seasons and made 151 starts with the Jaguars, Redskins and Saints. It wasnt always pretty, but Brett gave it everything he had. He physically played tough and was willing to sacrifice his body. He laid everything out on the field and that was something that continued for 20 years. That was the biggest thing I learned from him. All the while, Favre never forgot football is a game, and games are supposed to be fun. Nobody got more excited after a touchdown pass than he did, Detmer said. Players on a team want to be around that and play with guys who love the game. He was one of those guys people gravitate toward, Detmer added.

They urged us to move forward with a discreet portion of the work we could afford, and begin planning for financing the remaining portions of the needed work. Hess talks more about this summers work. Q: What projects has WCCC been working on this summer? A: Work includes moving some of the classrooms to enable expansion of the cafeteria kitchen in order to accommodate student lunch service and upgrade equipment and to give additional space for the overcrowded Culinary program. This also addresses some of the plumbing maintenance and fire suppression needs in those areas. The mini-theater is being completely renovated. it has a recessed floor with flooding problems and is being converted into a science lab, allowing for improved drainage under a new floor and fire suppression sprinklers in the ceiling. Adult Education day students will be moved closer to their outdoor labs in modular classrooms, giving space for the culinary lab to move into that area. Culinary students will have a new kitchen with updated industrial equipment and a restaurant space for serving small groups. The Digital Design lab will be moved to provide more space to the new culinary lab. Current plans also include the construction of a Fire and Rescue Training Center that would be used not only by WCCC high school and adult programs, but also by all fire departments in Warren County. There is not a training facility in the county now, and all mandatory public safety training must be done in other counties.
