More Could the firsthead coach in Jaguars history be their first choice to lead the team out of the NFL wilderness? http://victoriaburnschat.denaliinstitute.org/2016/12/30/an-a-2-z-on-core-factors-for-interview-questions/NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport reported Saturdaythat the Jaguars will interview Tom Coughlin this week for their head coaching position left vacant by the recent firingof Gus Bradley. Coughlin, 70, served as the Jaguars’ coach during their inaugural year in 1995 and he went on to lead the team to the playoffs four times in eight seasons in Jacksonville, where he compiled a 68-60 record. After joining the New York Giants in 2004, Coughlin coached the team to two Super Bowl victories before resigning after last season. Other candidates being mentioned for the open post include Jaguars interim coach Doug Marrone,Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, Falcons OCKyle Shanahan andBills OCAnthony Lynn. Rapoport notedthatDolphinsdefensive coordinator Vance Joseph is also in the mix. It’s possible Coughlin is being considered for some type of football operations job within the organization, the report said. Coughlin still has a home in the Jacksonville area, and some family members as well. The Jaguars have had only three winning seasons since Coughlin’s departure following the 2002 season. Considered a playoff contender before this season began, the Jaguars are 2-12.
